Call for Nominations for the Steven Krauwer Awards 2023

 

The Call for Nominations for the Steven Krauwer Awards 2023 is open.
In 2023, two Steven Krauwer Awards will be given, one in each of the following categories:
  1. Early Career CLARIN Researcher: the intended goal of this award is to promote a young person or a group of cooperating young persons below the age of 35;
  2. CLARIN Achievements: the intended goal of this award is to recognize the work of a person or a group of cooperating people.
These awards, named in honour of Steven Krauwer, the first Executive Director of CLARIN ERIC, are given annually to outstanding scientists and/or engineers in recognition of outstanding contributions toward CLARIN goals in the areas of language resource building, tool or service development, exemplary use cases, user involvement, knowledge sharing or socio-economic impact.
Nominators and nominees must work in countries or regions covered by CLARIN ERIC Members or Observers.
Nominees must provide a written account of the nominees' work and the reasons why their contributions are believed to be outstanding and of significant impact to CLARIN.
Contributions to the socio-economic impact of CLARIN will be particularly welcome.
Nominations should be uploaded via EasyChair by 28/04/2023 (the submission and evaluation procedures are detailed in the Call for Nominations downloadable below).
The award ceremony will take place during the CLARIN Annual Conference 2023.
