Workshop on Ontologies for the Semantic Web supported by CLARIN-IT

The Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities of the Department of Humanities of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (VeDPH-DSU-UNIVE) and the Institute for Computational Linguistics "Antonio Zampolli" of the National Research Council of Italy (ILC-CNR) are organizing a three-day Workshop on Ontologies for the Semantic Web entitled “How to Design, Manage and Publish Ontologies on the Semantic Web: A Guide for the Digital Humanist”. The event will be held in Venice from 9th to 11th March 2020 with the support of CLARIN-IT.
The Workshop is tailored for humanists of all disciplinary backgrounds. It will include a general introduction on the Semantic Web and Linked Open Data as well as hands-on tutorials with CLARIN available resources. Participants will learn how to create (design, manage and publish) ontologies and how to query Semantic Web resources. Participation is limited to twelve positions (the application submission deadline is 14th February 2020). Further information is available here.
