Call for Participation in SWE-CLARIN Workshop L2R&T
SWE-CLARIN is glad to invite you to participate in the Workshop on Interoperability of Second Language Resources and Tools (L2R&T), which will be held in Göteborg from 6th to 8th December 2017.
The Workshop aims at building a network of researchers, developers and users dealing with second language resources (e.g. corpora) and tools (e.g. error annotation tools) within the CLARIN context.
The Workshop focuses on the needs of interoperability of L2 resources and associated tools, since comparability of corpora and annotation ideally should enable comparative research across languages and national borders.
First of all, it is necessary to identify the interested parties, relevant projects, corpora and tools.
Therefore, presentations and demos by the Workshop participants covering existing resources, tools and approaches are welcome.
During two and a half days critical issues affecting quality and interoperability - such as L2 corpus composition, metadata, error coding and exploratory tools - will be discussed and an attempt will be made to establish a common ground in order to help ongoing and future projects in serving researchers throughout CLARIN.
On the last day (from 15:30 onwards), some time will dedicated to internal meetings and discussions.
The CLARIN EU funding can cover travel and subsistence expenses for up to 3 days (6th, 7th and 8th December) for up to 25 people.
The funding will be granted on the basis of the formula "first come, first served".
For further information as well as registration, please visit the Workshop Web site.
